The Animals in War & Peace Medal of Bravery was instituted in 2019 in the United States by Robin Hutton and Mari Lou Livingood to honor the work of American animals in war and peace. The Medal of Honor is the highest award for valor in action against an enemy force which can be bestowed upon an individual in the Armed Services of the United States. It is generally presented to its Recipient by the President of the United States of America in the name of Congress.
